How to review a portfolio?
General information
The portfolio is a way for PhD candidates to:
- Track the PhD candidates' progress and view registered hours.
- Add new training activities.
It is therefore an overview of all the activities and courses that a PhD candidate has taken and is reviewed by the first co-promotor and Graduate School.
New activities can be added in Hora Finita in the Portfolio.
Where can I find the Portfolio of a PhD candidate?
Option 1
1. Go to the right PhD project and click on the TSP tab.
2. Open the portfolio by clicking on the 'Open portfolio' button.
Here you will see an overview of all the portfolio items.
If the portfolio items are not approved yet by the first co-promotor, you can approve them by selecting the items and clicking on the 'Approve selection' button.
Option 2
1. Go to the right PhD project and click on the 'General' tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the 'Portfolio items' button.
Here you will see an overview of all the portfolio items.
If you want to print the portfolio items click on the 'Report' button.
Click on the 'Print' button.
How do I review a Portfolio?
At the end of the PhD project, the PhD candidate requests the Graduate School to review the portfolio.
Before the portfolio can be reviewed, all training activities needs to be approved by the first co-promotor. Furthermore, the total numbers of hours spent on training activities has to meet the number of hours needed to obtain a certificate of the Graduate School.
After the first co-promotor approves a training activity, you will receive an email informing you about the approval.
After the PhD candidate request a review, you will receive an email asking you to review their Portfolio. This email will contain a link to the candidate's Portfolio.
You can also navigate to the Portfolio in a different way.
Navigate to TSP tab from the right PhD project.
1. Fill in the date of the approval/rejection
2. You can approve or reject the portfolio by using the buttons 'Approve portfolio' or 'Reject portfolio'.
After you approved/rejected the portfolio the PhD candidate will receive an email informing them about the result.
