How to fulfill the tasks of the chair holder in Hora Finita?
General information
The chair holder only has one task in Hora Finita: to review the result of the Go/NoGo (RA) interview. After the first supervisor has confirmed the result, the chair holder will receive an email to confirm the result. The chair holder is not responsible for the substantive assessment and therefore does not require access to the Go/NoGo report itself. The chair holder is included in this procedure to approve the extension of the candidate's PhD trajectory within the chair group. In principle, the chair holder grants this approval. Only in cases of compelling operational or business-related reasons may the approval be withheld.
There are two types of a Go/NoGo interview:
Go/NoGo RA: this interview type is used for PhD candidates who are employed at Wageningen University. 'RA' means Research Assistant. After the chair holder has approved the Go decision, the HR department will be notified automatically about the extension of the contract.
Go/NoGo: this interview type is used for PhD candidates who are not employed at Wageningen University.
How to review the Go/NoGo (RA)?
Both the first supervisor and the chair holder have to review the result of the Go/NoGo (RA) in Hora Finita. If you are the first supervisor and the chair holder, you will have to review the result twice.
1. Click on the link in the email from Hora Finita to open the Assessment page. You can find the result underneath 'Details of interview'.
2. Go to assessment > select 'Approved' or 'Withhold approval'
If applicable, you can enter comments in the comments field.
3. Click on Submit.
