ASReview, a tool developed by Utrecht University, uses machine learning to speed up this process. Starting from an unsorted list of potential publications (for example obtained from academic search engines), the model in the background re-orders the list while you identify whether a publication is relevant or not. The result is a more efficient search and identification procedure as you proceed through the list, meaning it is more likely you find the relevant articles early in the process, thus saving time.
