How to change the progress of a PhD registration to on hold?
General information
Circumstances may prevent an (external) PhD candidate from continuing registration. For example, a candidate may have to wait for internal company developments to eventually get approval for funding. The status of registration in this situation is "Additional information required from applicant". In the process, a reminder is sent to the candidate every 7 days.
To avoid sending the reminder unnecessarily and to maintain an overall overview of the registrations, it is now possible to use the ‘On hold’ status.
Note: If there is an active approval process and the status of the registration is changed to ‘On hold’, reminder emails will be sent.
How to change the status to 'On hold'?
Go to the relevant registration and click the ‘Status history’ button at the top of the page on the General tab. Here you can have an overview of the progress of the registration, as well as manually add a status.
To manually add a status, click ‘New’.
Click the ‘Status’ field and select ‘On hold’ from the drop-down list.
We recommend also adding information in the comments field. Please make sure that no personal and privacy-sensitive information is entered.
By using the ‘On hold’ status, we have insight into which registrations are not progressing for the time being. The ‘duration’ column gives an indication of the period (days) a track has been on ‘On hold’ status.
