How to change the progress of a PhD registration to on hold?
General information
Circumstances might cause that a prospective PhD candidate cannot continue with the registration in Hora Finita. For example, a PhD candidate may have to wait for developments to get approval for funding. The status of the registration in this situation is "Additional information required from applicant". During this status, a reminder email is sent to the PhD candidate every 7 days.
To avoid sending the reminder email unnecessarily and to maintain a clear overview of the registrations, it is possible to use the ‘On hold’ status.
Note: If an approval process for the PhD registration is taking place, reminder emails will be sent regardless the 'On hold' status:
How to change the status to 'On hold'?
1. Go to PhD projects > PhD project registrations > Click on the PhD project registration of the PhD candidate
2. Click on Status history
3. Click on New

4. Select On hold in the drop-down menu

We recommend adding an explanation to the Comments field. Please make sure that no personal and privacy-sensitive information is entered.
5. Click on Save and go back
The new status has been added to the status overview of the PhD registration. If you want to change the 'on hold' status into another status in due time, please follow the above steps again.
