How to log in as an opponent to assess the thesis?
General information
As a member of the assessment committee, you will receive an invitation by email to assess the thesis. In this email you will find a link, which will give you access to Hora Finita.
This manual describes how to log into Hora Finita and how to submit your assessment of the thesis.
Logging into Hora Finita
1. Click on the download link in the invitation email. A page will open for additional authentication.
2. If you participate as an opponent with your WUR affiliation, click on Proceed to login page. Please go to step 5 of this manual.
If you participate as an opponent with a non-WUR affiliation, click on Request code by email. Please go to step 3 of this manual.
Using a security code via email
After you have requested a security code, the code will be sent to the email address known to us. It might take several minutes before you receive this email. The security code validity is 15 minutes.

4. Click on Submit code
Assessing the thesis
5. Please read the explanation first
6. Click on Download thesis
7. Click on Download authorship statement
8. Click on found here to download the rubric for evaluation
9. Please provide your assessment for each review point.
Submission of the evaluation form
If you want to complete the review later, click on Save concept. You will receive emails to remind you about submitting the assessment.
10. Click on approved or rejected
11. Click on Submit assessment to send the form to the Doctoral Service Centre.
It is not possible to approve the manuscript, if a review point is marked as 'unacceptable'.
After submission
As soon as all members of the Assessment Committee have evaluated the thesis, the Doctoral Service Centre will be asked for a final review. If all reviews are positive, the thesis is approved. You will receive a notification by email.
If the thesis is not approved, a rebuttal process will be started. If necessary, you will be informed about this via email.
