How to use filters and advanced search

Please note that you can use either the filter option or the advanced search.

How to use filters for PhD projects

If you want to filter the PhD projects you can use the filter feature:

1. Select the 'PhD projects' tab.

2. Select the 'PhD projects' tab.

3. Select 'apply filter'.

A filter list will be displayed where you can filter by proces, project status, requirements, specific details and miscellaneous. You can filter by clicking on the 'true' or 'false' buttons behind the topics:

1. After selecting the right filter you can save it by using the 'Apply' button.

2. If you want to delete the filters you have selected, you can use the 'Reset' button.

After your filter is applied you can modify your filter again by clicking on 'modify active filter'. This will open the filter list:

How to use filters for PhD project registrations

If you want to filter the PhD projects registrations you can use the filter feature:

1. Select the 'PhD projects' tab.

2. Select the 'PhD project registrations' tab.

3. Select the 'filter status' box.

4. Select the 'status duration' box.

You are able to choose one filter option for the filter status:

After selecting an option, it will automatically search for the right PhD project registrations.

These kind of filters can also be used for others tabs, such as the 'Requirement' tab. While other tabs may have different filter options to choose from, every filter can be used by following those steps from above.

How to use advanced search for PhD projects

Please note: when entering dates in the advanced search boxes, fill in the full date: 10-05-2022 and NOT 10-5-2022.

If you want to refine your search more, you can use advanced search:

1. Select the 'PhD projects' tab.

2. Select the 'PhD projects' tab.

3. Select 'Advanced search'.

A blue bar will pop up and you will be able to select some options.

1. Pick the fitting option underneath 'Previously saved queries'.

2. Pick the fitting option underneath 'Search controls'. 

In some cases, after selecting the search controls, other boxes appear for which you also must select an option:

1. Select 'Search' to search the options you have just entered.

2. Select 'save query' to save the selected options.

You can use the advanced search on all tabs, for example the 'PhD registration' tab. While the others tabs may have different options to choose from, every advanced searched can be used by following the steps described above.
