Getting Started
  • Pick up a Pointer (1) at the reception 
  • If PC is off, turn it on by pressing the ON button on the PC under the desk (2) 
  • Start Writing Tablet (3) by pressing the button on the top right-hand side 
  • Press the fourth display option (4) in the middle column on the Control Panel (5). Do not select the third display option (Whiteboard)
  • The Microphone (6) is on the desk. Hold the ON/OFF button behind the front cap of the Microphone case to turn it on
  • Press the Mute Picture and Mute Audio (7) buttons to hide the projection and the audio
  • Adjust the room lighting with the Control Lights (8) and Control Blinds (9) buttons 


Audiovisual equipment
Lecture recording It is possible. To record your lecture request this beforehand via [email protected].
Microphone (Clip-On/Headset)

The Microphone is in the charger in the back corner of the presentation floor. A Hand-Held Microphone and Catch Box Microphone are also available at the reception

Turn on the Microphone

  • To open the front cap of the Microphone case, simultaneously press the small buttons on both sides of the Microphone case
  • Hold the ON/OFF button inside the Microphone case to turn on the Microphone
  • Unmute the Microphone with the switch on top of the Microphone case

Switch off the Microphone

  • Hold the ON/OFF button behind the front cap to switch off the Microphone
  • Put the Microphone back in the charger. Make sure the Microphone case clicks well into the charger!
Hybrid lecturing (combination on-campus and online students)
 Start your hybrid session 
  • Start the MS Teams meeting on the Writing Tablet (3)
  • In the MS Teams meeting, click on Share next to the red button in the top right corner and select the screen you want to show. The screen you selected is shown online and on the projections on the wall
Sound
Students online hear your voice and the on-campus students' voices through the Ceiling Microphone. Use a Microphone for better sound. Students online can talk and are audible through the speakers.

Sound problems 
Check if Clip-On Microphone is muted. Check if MS Teams is set on mute. Switch speakers. 
Writing Tablet (WACOM) & PC

The Writing Tablet is the main display (Display 1) (3).

Make notes on PowerPoint 

  • Start your PowerPoint presentation
  • Use the Writing Tablet Pen to make notes on PowerPoint slides. Select the pen item in the bottom left corner of the screen

Make notes on Word and Excel 

  • Open your document 
  • From the ribbon menu at the top, choose the tab Draw 
  • Select one of the Drawing Tools

Make notes on PDFs

  • Open your PDF document
  • On the right side, click on the Comment icon
  • In the menu on top of the document, select the pen icon in the middle

Use the Writing Tablet as a whiteboard

  • Type HD-board Software v9 in the search bar
  • Press the blue icon with the white arrow on the right side (do not fill in login information)
  • The Dual Pen menu appears on your screen
  • Hover over the icons and click on the Window mode icon
  • Click on the pen icon from the menu at the bottom


Audiovisual equipment
Smartboard
The Smartboard can only be used in combination with the Teacher PC.

Use as digital whiteboard
  • Click on Whiteboard in the left menu of the Writing Tablet or Smartboard screen
  • The text or drawings made with the pen will be shown on the projector screens and thus be recorded, they are not transferred to the next slide
  • Use the buttons on the bottom edge of the Smartboard screen to change the colour of the pen

Use as presentation screen

  • Click on Bureaublad in the left menu of the Writing Tablet or Smartboard screen
  • Use the computer to launch your presentation
Pointers

Use the Digital Pointer

The Digital Pointer can be picked up at the reception of the building.

  • Pull the USB dongle out of the Digital Pointer and plug it into the USB-port of the PC under the desk

In the task bar on the bottom of the Computer screen,

  • Click on the Show hidden icons symbol > click on the Logitech Presentation symbol (yellow dot with arrow)
  • A SPOTLIGHT menu appears, from which you can choose your pointer function
  • The Logitech Pointer functions (highlight, magnify, digital laser) are visible to online students too

Use the Laser Pointer or your own pointer 


The Laser Pointer can be picked up at the reception of the building. You can also use your own pointer.
  • Plug the USB-dongle of the pointer into the USB-port of the PC under the desk
  • Keep in mind, a laser pointer is not visible to online students
Finishing up
  • Do not switch off the PC! Sign out from your account on the PC 
  • Press Turn the Projectors Off button (10) on Control Panel. 
  • Switch off the Microphone and put it back in the charger. Make sure the Microphone case clicks well into the charger
  • Switch off the light with the Control Lights button (8)
  • Return the Pointer (1) to the reception
