How to use result grade codes?

Result grades

To enter grades to the grades input file, you need to know the codes for the input. This table gives these codes and information how to use them.

 Student has a 6 or higher as final result
 Chair group*
GRADE 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
 Student has a 5 or lower as final result.  Rounding to half a decimal is not possible

PASS

Student has 'satisfactory' as final result. Grading on a FAIL/PASS scale is only possible with prior permission by examining board

 Student has 'Not satisfactory' as final result (see above) Chair group*
INCOMPL

Student has completed part of the assessment successfully (attended a practical or handed in an assignment but missed the exam; or passed an exam but not yet handed in an assignment)

 Student has withdrawn from the exam after the deadline has passed and has no partial result Chair group*
NOGRADE (After grade input deadline) Centrally entered after passing the deadline for input grades

NOSHOW
 Student did not show up at the assessment

EXEMPTED

Student received an exemption from the examining board

FRAUD/INVALID

Examining board has determined fraud and or deemed the assessment invalid.

*  Chair group means the course coordinator, examiner or secretarial office

If a course has been taken elsewhere (so NOT at Wageningen University), then the result will be recorded by either SSC or the Examining Board.

Don't use spaces in NOGRADE and NOSHOW!
