Add or Remove a Course Contact from the Course Contacts Page

The template contains standard 5 spaces to enter course contacts. However, it might happen that you have more or fewer contacts you want to list for your course.

First, the article will explain how to add another space, followed by the removal process

1. Add an additional course contact to the template

When adding another space to enter a course contact, it is important to copy the full space (to maintain the alignment of the text and picture). Therefore,

  1. Start highlighting the text with the cursor from the bottom below the text Note (to also copy the horizontal line separating the contacts) all the way up until the first, empty line (this makes sure the picture is also selected)
  2. Now, click in the space below the existing course contact
  3. Then, Copy (Ctrl+C) & Paste (Ctrl+V) below to insert the copied text template of the course contact
Select the whole text box of the one course contact

Now, you can edit the copied course contacts box

2. Remove unnecessary course contact(s) from the template

If you wish to have less than 5-course contacts listed in your course, you can remove the unwanted contact boxes from the template. When removing space to enter a course contact, it's once again important to select the full space to delete everything.

  1. Start highlighting the text with the cursor from the bottom below the text Note (to also get the line below) all the way up until the first, empty line (this makes sure the picture is also selected)
  2. Now, hit the Delete button on your computer
Select the whole text box of the one course contact

Again, when you are done adding or changing/updating the course contacts, do not forget to Save and Close!

Now you know how to add and edit the Course contacts page in Brightspace!
