HTML Editor | How to access a Brightspace HTML page editing mode

When you have created a page using the HTML editor in Brightspace you are able to manage it. You can edit the page by adding content or removing it. This article will show you how to access the option of editing an HTML page:

Edit via Content

Navigate to the course where the HTML page is located. Then:

  1. Click Content in the green navigation bar
  2. Navigate to the (sub)module where the page is located
  3. Click on the arrow next to the name of the item for options
  4. From the drop-down menu select and click Edit HTML
Click Content, click the (sub)module of the page, click the arrow next to the item's title, from options select Edit HTML

The page will open in the browser window ready for editing.

After you make changes do not forget to click on Save and Close for your modifications to the HTML page to be saved. The text is not saved automatically while in the process of editing.

Edit via HTML page

You can also access the editing option of the HTML page after opening it in the browser window. There are two ways:

1. Edit page using the arrow next to the page title

  1. Click the arrow after the title of your HTML page
  2. From the drop-down menu click on Edit HTML option
In the HTML page click the arrow next to page title, select Edit HTML

Now you entered the editing mode of the HTML page and are able to modify the content to your liking.

2. Edit page using button Edit HTML

  1. Scroll down on the HTML page
  2. Click the button Edit HTML
In the HTML page scroll down and click button Edit HTML

Now you entered the editing mode of the HTML page and are able to modify the content to your liking.
