This article shows how to:

Licensing

Licenses are an important first step to sharing. They give the legal permission for your content to be shared under certain conditions. We advice to select Attribution-NonCommercial.

First select the H5P object you would like to make shareable.

For more information on how to make H5P objects:

After having selected the object which you would like make shareable click on it and select edit.

This opens up the editing window. In the editing window you then select the metadata button next to the title.

This takes you to the Metadata window, where the license and author's name are filed in.

  1. You first select the authors name and role.
  2. Save author
  3. Select the license (Attribution-NonCommercial)
  4. Save metadata

Download and Embed

You will need to giver users the permission to download as well as embed the content you have made. The embed function can be handy for users, who would like to display your content through HTML. For instance a colleague who would like to add your H5P content in their course.

This can be done by scrawling down to the bottom of the editing window.

1. Enable the toolbar for the user to see the different options.

2. Check Allow users to download the content button

3. Check Display Embed button

4. Check the Display Copyright button (For legal clarity)

5. Save

The User view

Now that the right permissions are selected the user should see several buttons underneath your H5P item.

1. Opens a window where the user can download the item.

2. Rights of Use informs the user about the license and thus the legal conditions for its usage.

3. Embed Gives the user an HTML code.

Now you have learned how to make H5P content shareable through the download and embed functionality.
